Privacy Policy

This page explains how Appolyze handles storage access, media access, contacts access, app usage access, advertising services, subscriptions, and user privacy when you use the application.

Last updated: April 2026

Quick Summary

Appolyze ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our application handles information when you use our mobile application. By using Appolyze, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

All storage analysis, media scanning, contact analysis, and cleaning suggestions are performed locally on your device whenever possible.
Your files, media, and contacts are not uploaded to Appolyze servers.
No files, contacts, or other user content are automatically removed without user review and confirmation.
Some third-party services such as Google AdMob, Google Play Billing, and RevenueCat may process limited data required to provide advertising and subscription features.

1. Information We Process

Appolyze is designed with a privacy-first approach. Appolyze does not collect, store, or sell personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, personal files, photos, videos, audio files, or contact list on Appolyze servers.

In order to provide core application functionality, Appolyze may temporarily process certain information available on your device, such as files, media, contacts, and app usage information. This processing is performed locally on the device for features such as storage analysis, duplicate photo detection, similar photo review, large file discovery, duplicate contacts detection, app usage analysis, and user-requested cleaning actions.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise in this Privacy Policy for third-party services, Appolyze does not transmit personal content from your device to our own servers.

2. Internet and Network Access

Appolyze uses internet and network access permissions such as INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE to support essential online features, including ad delivery, subscription validation, in-app purchase processing, service connectivity, and basic network availability checks.

These permissions are not used to upload your personal files, contacts, photos, videos, audio files, or user-selected content to Appolyze servers.

3. Storage and File Access Permission

Appolyze requires storage-related permissions, including MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE and, on supported Android versions, READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, to provide core functionality such as scanning device storage usage, identifying large files, reviewing downloads and documents, analyzing storage categories, and helping users clean unnecessary files.

These permissions are used because Appolyze is a storage cleaner and file analysis application. Access to storage is necessary for the app to detect files selected by the user for review, to calculate storage usage, and to display meaningful cleanup suggestions.

File analysis is performed locally on the user's device. Appolyze does not collect, upload, or share file contents with its own servers.

4. Media Access Permission

Appolyze may request media-related permissions such as READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO, and READ_MEDIA_AUDIO in order to provide media cleanup and analysis features.

These permissions allow the application to identify duplicate photos, similar images, blurred photos, screenshots, large videos, audio files, and other media items that users may want to review and clean.

All media analysis is performed locally on the device. Media files are not uploaded, transmitted, or stored on Appolyze servers. Users remain in control and must confirm any deletion or cleanup action.

5. App Usage Access Permission

Appolyze may request PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS permission in order to provide app usage analysis features such as identifying rarely used apps, reviewing app storage impact, or helping users understand which installed applications may be contributing to device storage usage.

This permission is used only to present app usage and app-related cleanup insights to the user. Appolyze does not use this permission for advertising profiling, hidden monitoring, or unrelated background tracking.

6. Contacts Access and Contacts Management Permissions

Appolyze may request READ_CONTACTS and WRITE_CONTACTS permissions in order to provide the Duplicate Contacts Cleaner feature.

These permissions allow the application to scan the address book on your device, identify duplicate or repeated contact entries, and, when explicitly requested by the user, assist with contact cleanup actions.

Contact analysis is performed locally on the device. Appolyze does not upload, store, sell, or share your contact data with Appolyze servers. Any contact modifications or removals require user review and explicit confirmation.

7. Permissions Used by the Application

Appolyze only requests permissions that are necessary to provide specific features of the app. These permissions are requested in support of user-facing functionality and are not requested for unrelated or hidden purposes.

INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: used for ad delivery, subscription and billing connectivity, and network status checks.

MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: used for storage analysis, file review, and cleaner functionality across accessible device storage.

READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_MEDIA_VIDEO / READ_MEDIA_AUDIO: used for photo, video, and audio analysis features such as duplicate detection, similarity checks, blurred photo review, and media cleanup.

PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS: used for app usage and installed app analysis features.

READ_CONTACTS / WRITE_CONTACTS: used for duplicate contacts detection and user-confirmed contact cleanup features.

If users choose not to grant certain permissions, some features may not function properly or may be unavailable.

8. Advertising

Appolyze uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect certain information automatically to provide personalized or contextual ads, including device identifiers, advertising ID, approximate location, app interaction data, and diagnostic data.

This data collection is handled by Google and is subject to Google’s privacy policies. Appolyze does not control how Google processes data collected through AdMob.

For more information, please visit Google Privacy Policy.

9. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

Appolyze may offer premium subscriptions or in-app purchases through Google Play Billing and RevenueCat.

These services may process purchase-related data such as subscription status, transaction identifiers, product identifiers, entitlement information, and limited device or app identifiers required to validate and manage purchases.

Appolyze does not directly store your payment card details. Payment processing is handled by Google Play and related subscription infrastructure providers.

10. Third-Party Services

The application may use third-party services, including but not limited to:

Google AdMob for advertising, Google Play Billing for in-app purchases and subscriptions, RevenueCat for subscription management, and Firebase services if enabled for analytics, crash reporting, or performance monitoring.

These services may process limited information needed to provide their functionality. Appolyze does not control how these third-party services process data and recommends reviewing their privacy policies where applicable.

11. Data Security

Appolyze does not store personal files, media, contacts, or other user content on external servers. By processing storage, media, contacts, and app usage data locally on the device whenever possible, Appolyze helps minimize privacy risks.

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. User Control

Users have full control over their files, contacts, and cleanup actions. The application only removes or modifies content when the user explicitly selects and confirms the action. No files or contacts are automatically deleted without user confirmation.

13. Children’s Privacy

Appolyze is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the application, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Users will be notified of significant changes through the app, the Play Store listing, or this privacy policy page.
